A three day workshop on importance and application of remote sensing and GIS was organized from 10th to 12th February,2014.PG students of Geology, Geography and Botany participated in the workshop. Prof S.K. Pandey, Head, S.O.S. in Geology and WRM , Pt. R.S.University, Raipur and Dr. Prashant Kawishwar, Scientist , Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology, Raipur were the resource persons. The students learnt about basics of remote sensing and G.I.S. and their application in the field of Geology, Geography and Botany during the workshop.
