REMEDIAL MEASURES CELL :

Keeping in view the need for the development of  various skill the college  has a center CDBC that ensures the formation of departmental  associations and societies where programmes, which enhance the communication skill and presentation skill of the students, are organized .

The college Magazine " Vyanjana " reflects the entire set up of the college , its working during the year and progress made in different directions . It contains articles on literary, academic, current affairs and topical subjects . Students are given every encouragement to contribute articles to the magazine .

Feedback from students closely indicated that the " Chalk and Talk " method is totally inadequate to sustain the interest of the students. With an understanding that the students must be participative and not be passive targets in the classrooms student centered learning strategies have been initiated in our college. Exercises are undertaken to enable students to acquire first hand information from real life situations . A few significant methodologies are as follows :

• Industrial  visits for experimental learning .
• On site – learning and field visits .
• Visit  to state Assembly at Raipur, Research Institutions CSIR labs  & University .
• Collaboration with, NGOs and industries for training .
•  Projects / Surveys .
•  MOU with District Hospital .

The  main activities of this  cell includes

•  a research culture among the faculty  and students .
•  Enable the faculty to translate theoretical knowledge into action .
•  Develop scientific thinking and acquire research skills  through higher education .
• Training in designing a project, planning its execution, methodologies to be used and  method of    reporting .
• Encourage staff to pursue M.Phil/ Ph.D / programmes,  Undertake minor and major research projects and to organize  Regional / State / National level seminars and  workshops.  
  
• Facilitate the student  community to acquire knowledge of  research.

The IQAC  of this institution aims to create and promote a positive attitude  and approach,  motivating and providing support to the departments for organizing  co- and  extra- curricular activities;  providing research  culture,  encouraging teachers to organize seminars, workshop etc, motivating  students to learn beyond the curricular aspects and providing  training in computer operation to the non teaching staff .

For the purpose of effective and fruitful implementation of quality enhancement the members of IQAC visit all  the departments of the institution on regular basis .IQAC has its own strategies and quality measures, which are thoroughly discussed with the departments and for the said purpose different committees have been formed in the college such as :  Research Committee, Advisory  committee, Library committee, discipline  committee and cultural committee etc .

The  institution has reserved seats for the physically  challenged candidates seeking admission.  It also offers scholarship to them in order to promote their education . Ramps have been built along side the steps to make the movement of wheelchairs possible .

As in all co education institutes gender based issues emerge from time to time . The college has an active Women's Development Cell which aims at generating awareness regarding women's issues and rights and works with the primary objective of preventing any sort of sexual harassment. Various activities like seminars, debates, lectures, etc are organized by the members of the staff that help in developing the potential of the girl students. Ti promotes general well being of the female students and provides a space for women's empowerment.

Medical check up camps, Blood Donation camps, Awareness campaign regarding AIDS and other diseases are organized by the college every year .

Faculty members of the college actively participate in the various social Activities like Environment Awareness campaign, Adult Education programmes, Women's Education, Entrepreneurship programmes, Literacy mission, Pulse Polio Abhiyan , etc.

The Every year the Parent Teacher Association is formed with the purpose of involving the parents in the education process of their wards This is also a combined effort to make the students understand their duties towards their parents, institution and their own self .

The College has an established Alumni Association . The Association supports Academic and non-academic activities of the college. It attempts to lend a helping hand through placement service and enables the students to find suitable jobs .
