Mr. Gautam Sheel Thool has received Chhattisgarh Young Scientists Award in the "XIth Chhattisgarh Young Scientists Congress" organized on 28th February and 1st of March 2013 by Govt. Nagarjun P.G. College of Science, Raipur and sponsored by Chhattisgarh Council of Science & Technology, Raipur. He is pursuing his research under the supervision of Dr.A.K.Singh, Department of Chemistry.

AN EMMINENT PROFESSOR, SCIENTIST, FULBRIGHT SCHOLAR HEAD ,DEPARTMENT OF EARTH AND ATMOSPHERIC SCIENCE, PURDUE UNIVERSITY, INDIANA, USA PROF. JONATHAN HARBOR AND HIS WIFE AMY HARBOR VISITED OUR COLLEGE ON 20TH FEB 2013. DURING HIS VISIT PROFESSOR HARBOR DELIVERED LECTURE ON "CLIMATE CHANGE" AT 12 NOON AT ROOM NO 23. HE ALSO INTERACTED WITH STUDENTS AND PROFESSOR'S OF OUR COLLEGE. ALL THE STAFF MEMBERS AND STUDENTS ATTENDED THE SAME.

Vijay Kumar Verma student of M. Sc. Sem. III, Department of Mathematics has been selected to participate in the Mathematics Training and Talent Search Programme 2013 to be held at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Humanities, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, Gujrat. The programme starts on the morning of May 20, 2013 and ends at the forenoon of June 15, 2013.

Mr. Jaynendra Shrivas and Ms. Pooja Sahu of B. Sc. Part II, Mathematics have been selected to participate in the Mathematics Training and Talent Search Programme 2013 to be held at the Regional Institute of Education (RIE), Mysore. The programme starts on the morning of May 20, 2013 and ends at the forenoon of June 15, 2013.

As per the official order issued by Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Chhattisgarh, Dr. Deepak Karkun joined as new principal of our college on 31st July 2012 . He has more than 36 years of experience of Govt. service. Dr. Karkun, a well known professor of Botany is also alumni of our college. Earlier he has served more than 25 years as a lecturer, Asstt. Professor ,Professor in this college.
